Learner Description
AFGRI Equipment offers an exciting apprenticeship opportunity for dynamic, motivated individuals with the technical ability to qualify as a craftsman. This apprenticeship program will allow successful apprentices to grow within AFGRI under the mentorship of our highly experienced and dedicated artisans.
Responsibilities:
Apprentice training will include
Trained to be a Tractor Mechanic and Technician
Repair and maintenance of related equipment.
Responsible for stock control.
Customer service
General work in the workplace.
Requirements:
Title N2 with the following subjects:
Math
engineering science
Diesel Trading Theory
and any of the following subjects:
Industrial electronics
Engineering / Technical Drawing
Motor Trade Theory
OR Grade 12 Certificate with subjects such as:
Mathematics (non-literacy) (At least 40% / E-Symbol)
Technical Mathematics (No Literacy) (At least 40% / E-Symbol)
Physical Sciences (At least 40% / E-Symbol)
Technical Sciences (At least 40% / E-Symbol)
Graphic Engineering and Design (At least 40% / E-Symbol)
OR National Vocational Certificate (NCV) Level 4 with theoretical subjects for requested designed trades (i.e. Mechanic and Tractor Technician)
NB. Applicants who do not have the above qualifications may undertake N2 requirement courses through AFGRI-sponsored Further Education and Training as part of the program.
